The Women in ICT meeting was held on the 7th November 2023. The meeting is aimed to address key challenges , celebrate achievements and foster collaboration within the Women in ICT community.
The Survey regarding Persistent Sexism and Gender Bias in Tech was discussed. The Survey has revealed significant challenges in addressing gender inequality and bias faced by women in the tech industry. The survey, with almost 500 responses, exposes a disheartening trend of a 4% increase in reported instances of sexism in the workplace over the past 12 months, reaching 53.6%.
The survey underscores the importance of addressing gender inequality and sexism in the tech industry. While there have been positive developments, the persistence of challenges necessitates sustained efforts for a more inclusive and equitable tech sector. The findings serve as a call to action for companies and women in the industry to collaborate in bringing about positive change.
