The EU International Partnerships Academy (INTPA) is the European Commission’s free and public learning platform for development. It is an online resource offering learning content to the public as part of an ongoing process to open learning opportunities with, and to, European Member States and partners, such as: civil society and international organisations as well as partner countries. The goal is to provide partners with access to specialised knowledge and learning content on specific topics in order to harmonise development cooperation efforts.
Courses and resources
INTPA provides users with a wide variety of learning offers, courses and other materials which are searchable via an online database. The content is organised into 26 different topics, ranging from agriculture to budget support, and digitalisation. The Academy’s resources are entirely free to access and come in the form of 5 learning methods:
- E-Learning courses
Participants can enrol and follow as many courses as they want but are required to obtain a 100% completion rate in order to get certified. So far, INTPA has delivered over 4,600 certificates, and has had over 22,000 users across 190 countries.
Digitalisation and Cybersecurity
One of the 26 learning topics of the Academy is Digitalisation and Cybersecurity. Under this topic, INTPA offers a wide range of learning content including: documents such as ‘Digitalisation for Development: A Toolkit for Development Cooperation Practitioners’, webinars on e-Governance Building Blocks, podcasts on National cybersecurity strategies, and courses on Practical Artificial Intelligence applications.
Who is this for?
INTPA is open for anyone interested in the resources and learning offers it provides. More specifically however, INTPA encourages EU Delegation staff to learn and build a community practice online, and is also geared towards the wider international development community in an aim to build coherent policies.
