Cybersecurity Conference 2020

eSkills Malta Foundation, in collaboration and partnership with MITA, University of Malta, MDIA, Cyber Security Malta and Keith Cutajar organised a Cybersecurity Conference on 5th February 2020 at the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, Attard. A big thank you to our official sponsors Melita Data Centre, MDIA, PWC, EY and Cybersecurity Malta.

Cybersecurity is the state or process of protecting and restoring networks, devices, and programs from any type of cyber-attack. These attacks can be designed to access or destroy sensitive data or extort money. The headlines are peppered with news of security breaches and incidents involving all types of organisations, from critical infrastructure to schools, hospitals and companies. Given the increasing frequency and accuracy of cyberattacks, implementing a solid cybersecurity strategy is critical.

Searching for signs of an attacker on your network can be like looking for a needle in a haystack. In many cases, companies need an average of six months to detect a data breach. A security team needs the right skills, competences and tools to identify and investigate critical security threats more than ever.
