The Centre for Higher Education (CHE) is a German higher education reform organisation in Germany and at European level. The cheque was founded in 1994 by Bertelsmann Stiftung and the German Rector’s Conference as a non-profit organisation. It is best known to the public for its published university rankings. Che is an independent group of experts with an international dimension.
CHE aims to ensure that higher education institutions are able to cope with the growing number of students and the increasing diversity of their students.
