However, it is important to stress that technology alone does not guarantee the employability of persons with disabilities, as there are still social and cultural barriers limiting their inclusion in the labour market. However, technology has opened up new possibilities and raised awareness of the importance of diversity and inclusion in the working environment. It is essential to promote equal opportunities, eliminate prejudice and implement inclusive policies to ensure the full participation of people with disabilities in the workplace.

This is an initiative promoted by the ONCE Foundation aimed at acquiring technological and digital skills and skills for people with disabilities in order to promote their inclusion in occupations with high demand on the labour market, thereby multiplying their career prospects. Samsung Electronics Iberia and ONCE hFoundation signed a collaboration agreement to train students with disabilities in the SIC programme and thus improve their employability. This alliance is part of the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) programme, a project that aims to boost learning in new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data or the Internet of Things (IoT) and to promote skills and competences that companies demand.

According to data from the ONCE Foundation, 29 % of people with disabilities report that the main problems in the field of training are digital accessibility and the use of ICT. That is why Samsung wanted to play an active role in advancing the level of education of people with disabilities by expanding and thus improving future employability opportunities in areas of high market demand.
