eSkills Malta Foundation and eSkills for Jobs official supporters of IDC ICT Leadership Forum

The eSkills Malta Foundation is proud to have been one of the Official Supporters of the IDC ICT Leadership Forum – The Smart IT Buyer Tour 2015​. The Forum, jointly supported by the European Commission’s eSkills for Jobs campaign, discussed how the effective use of technologies including cloud, mobility, virtualisation, big data analytics, telecom​​munications, and social media can help organisations to survive and succeed in the current business conditions.

The eSkills Malta Foundation engaged with the Maltese business community and provided them with information about its mandate and projects. One of the promoted projects was the Career Exposure Experience that the Foundation is handling in collaboration with the Ministry for Education and Employment.

Mr. Roderick Spiteri, Executive Co-ordinator of the eSkills Malta Foundation, gave a presentation about the current trends and challenges that the business community is facing when it come to recruiting professionals with adequate skill-sets. Mr. Spiteri also talked about the realities of the digital transformation and the need for more e-leadership related initiatives. Finally, he gave an overview of Malta’s performance and its ranking in the E-Leadership European Scoreboard and discussed the Foundation’s work in this regard.
