Launch of the EU Codeweek 2019

On Thursday 1st August 2019 the eSkills Malta Foundation launched the EU CodeWeek for 2019. The launch was held at the Corinthia Hotel Attard and was well attended by around 30 prospective contributors for the EU CodeWeek 2019.

Carm Cachia the Foundation’s Chief Administrator delivered a short presentation on the importance of Coding to everybody young or old and also gave some very interesting facts on past CodeWeeks. It was pointed out that for the past two years Malta ranked first with the most events per capita. It is the Foundation’s main priority to maintain this momentum. This would not be possible without the cooperation of the Foundation’s partners and contributors during code week.

The launch was attended by representatives from University of Malta, Transport Malta, Vodafone, Middlesex University, Robocoach, Esplora, EY Malta, Jobs Plus, Chiswick House School and St Martin’s College, Malta Libraries, Department of Digital Literacy and Transversal Skills, MCAST, Foundation for IT Accessibility (FITA) together with Annalise Duca, Beata Young, Denise De Gaetano and Gordon Dimech.

eSkills Malta Foundation will be looking forward to working with all during this year’s code week!
