The eSkills Malta Foundation, in collaboration and partnership with Gemma organised the “Working with Local Councils on Financial Capability Education” information meeting on 30th September 2021 at the Local Council Association (LCA) building.

Mr Mario Fava from LCA welcomed the attendees and gave a brief introduction of the event. Mr David Spiteri Gingell gave out a presentation about Gemma and it’s aims and delved into the objective of developing a partnership with the Local Councils Association with regards to Financial Literacy and Pension matters. Mr Claude Calleja then explained the eSkills Malta Foundation’s mandates and the synergy that was formed with Gemma and emphasized initiatives such as the Digital Bootcamp and the EU Codeweek.

This meeting was well received by numerous councillors and representatives from regional councils with all regions in Malta being represented. Once this initiative takes off, it is envisaged that a similar session is organised in Gozo, for Gozitan regions and local councils.
