    Course Content 

    Technology is changing our personal and professional lives. This course will engage participants in making use of main internet applications securely whilst managing data and information appropriately. This course focuses on developing online skills and attitudes related to online activities mainly web browsing, social media and e-mail. This course will also focus on online safety and security, managing data and information appropriately.

    Objectives:

    At the end of the module the learner will have acquired the responsibility and autonomy to:

    1) Browse the World Wide Web; communicate on the Internet securely.

    2) Use the web browser and manage browser settings, bookmarks, and web outputs.

    3) Search effectively for online information and critically evaluate web content.

    4) Understand concepts of online communities, communications and e-mail.

    5) Manage email client to create and organize effective and efficient emails.

    6) Basic use of social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln and Instagram and understand security issues related to their usage
