Europe Code Week is a grassroots initiative which aims to bring coding and digital literacy to everybody in a fun and engaging way. The eSkills Malta Foundation is once again coordinating the EU Code Week initiatives. This year Code Week will be held between the 6th and 21st October 2018. As most of you are aware last year Malta ranked first in the number of coding events held per capita.

ICT skills are amongst the most essential skills for new jobs, digitally enabled industries outperform their traditional competitors; by 2020 90% of all jobs will be expected to require some form of digital skills. Encouraging the younger generation to realise that the right digital skills are amongst the most important core skills for employability is a crucial step in addressing the broad challenge of additional skilled resources for 21st century jobs.

Malta Robotics Olympiad 2018

The Malta Robotics Olympiad (MRO) is the largest robotics and technology event in Malta. In 2018 we will be celebrating the 7th edition of this annual event which is organised by the Ministry for Education and Employment under the Management of the MRO Committee made up from: James Catania (chairman), Keith Galea, Keith Aquilina, Josmar Borg , Karen Micallef, & Eric Montfort.
