EUHeritage is a Sector Skills Alliance for Design and Delivery of Vocational Education and Training (VET) co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme bringing together nine partners from seven European countries namely Italy, Spain, Greece, Germany, Malta, Romania, and Belgium. The consortium is made up of VET and educational providers, sector representatives for the cultural heritage sector, a research centre and a sector representative in the field of Digital and ICT for cultural heritage, a European network and sector representative in the field of culture, and a Chamber of Commerce. The EUHeritage consortium has developed a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) targeting current and future cultural heritage professionals. This course aims to equip them with the digital and soft skills needed for their career as well as the skills pertaining to “experience tourism” within the cultural heritage sector.
Course structure
The course is structured to be suited to a learner’s schedule. Around 10 hours of learning per week are to be expected with online digital training material and open discussions on the module’s forum. Learners will also have access to an interactive social platform with peers, tutors, and stakeholders.
Learners will get a certificate of completion if they complete the online course with and succeed in at least 45% of both the learning materials and graded activities. Open badges are also awarded to learners when they successfully complete each module.
